The "integrated, exploring" curriculum in the learning field is the new practical art curriculum highly advocated in the "Art curriculum standard" of the full-time compulsory education. Adding the integrated practical art curriculum in the art teaching in the current higher normal (specialist) institutions can effectively improve the integrated application abilities of the students in the normal schools, thus consciously enables the students to combine art and life, art and other subjects, art and the teaching profession in order to meet the new art education development in the future kindergartens and primary schools. In view of the status of the art curriculum setting in the current higher normal (specialist) institutions, this thesis sets forth systematically the importance and necessity of adding the integrated practical art curriculum in the current art curriculum, and then expounds the feasibility of setting this curriculum in the context of the cases of the integrated art classes developed by the domestic and foreign educators and the cases of this curriculum practiced by the writer in the recent teaching. This thesis expounds the new curriculum setting in four aspects, the status of the current art curriculum setting in the higher normal institutions, the general introduction of the "integrated, exploring" learning field curriculum, the domestic and foreign teaching examples as well as the evaluation of the integrated practical art curriculum.
