The Sculpture Design And Study Of Tang Poetry Park

With the development of China, the city's construction has been paid more attention, it has broken away from the model of western countries, and ,has been connected with the region culture. The construction of Xi'an is a tipical example. One of this construction ,the build of Qujiang, has shown much attraction of it's long history. As a public act, the sculpture in city has also affected the build of Qujiang mostly. On the foundation of culture, the Tang Poetry Park will be built as a subject park of sculture. It's completion will furture the charm of Qujiang, as well as enhance the fame of Tang Poetry.The thesis consists of four chapters:The theory will be touched upon in the first chapter. The city must be constructed on the found of culture because it has great energy and can show the feature of city.In the second chapter, I will introduce the modern construction in Xi'an and how the history culture of this ancient city has been used. In the second part of this chapter,the history of Qujiang will be introduced . Qujiang is a historically and culturally famous resort in the Chinese history. In the beginning, it was built in Qin Dynasty. Qujiang became an imperial garden in Tang Dynasty and affected the Tang Poetry mostly. Now,as a area of 47 k m~2, it is on a scale renovate and promotes the development of economic, culture and the features of a place.The construction of Tang Poetry Park is necessary and reasonable .In the first part of this chapter, I will introduce the history of the Tang Poetry. It consists of four stages: the intial stage ,the most prosperous stage, the middle stage, the last stage. There were a large number of famous poets in these four stages, and these poets made great achievement of poetry in the Chinese history. The Tang Poetry had close connection with Qujiang. Many poets wrote famous poems and songs because of Qujiang's beauty. At the same time, Qujiang became more famous because the praise of thesepoets.The fourth charpter consists of the sculture design in the Tang Poetry Park. The first part will introduce my general idea of the design.lt is the aim of showing the Tang Poetry's history, conveying artistic conception of the Tang Poetry, and expressing qualities of poets. In the second part of this chapter, I will introduce every poets I design generally and explain why and how I will design the sculptures from four sides such as the sculpture's modeling, surrounding, material and size. At the same time , the pictures of the sculpture design in the Tang Poetry Park is put in this charpter. It is hoped that this thesis can offer a useful attemption in field of the construction of sculpture park.
