Nowadays, there is a greater interdependence upon and a more frequent communication between different cultures in different aspects, including politics, economy and culture, as well as many details of our daily life. To seek common ground while reserving differences and to pursue common development and prosperity are the main stream of the world. The dissertation deals with the cultural blend in language communication promoted by foreignization in translation. In fact, any translation means a communication or a dialogue between two languages as well as two cultures. Unsurprisingly, foreignization too often goes along with translation in history and always brings into the target culture some flavor conspicuously different from the target culture itself. Foreignization is just like grafting. When a peach branch is grafted on to an apple tree, the fruit would undoubtedly be different in flavor from the pure peach. Likewise, foreignization also presents the target culture with a strikingly exotic atmosphere. Therefore, foreignization plays an important role in cultural communication, digestion and availability.
