Nowadays,the trend of globalization is irreversible,which makes China become the second economy in the world.Meanwhile,China has introduced the Belt and Road Initiative to build a better world together with other developing countries by sharing the development experience with them.Thus,a large number of interpreters are increasingly needed.Interpreter is not only the bridge of communication between two different languages,but the spreader of cultures,ideas and views.Therefore,confronted with cultural differences,it is extremely essential for the interpreter to master foreignization and domestication approaches in cross-culture communication.The report is based on the author's interpreting experience in the Training Course on Clean-Energy for Developing Countries,2017.This training course gathered 59 trainees from 21 developing countries and invited professors and outstanding representatives from great enterprises and key universities in China for lecturing,and thus there existed many huge cultural differences.In the process of his interpreting,the author encountered many difficulties caused by cultural biases such as lecturers' talking styles and audiences' culture background.Therefore,the author adopted foreignization and domestication approaches as the guidance in his interpreting.The author mainly adopted foreignization for the class interpreting was mainly C-E interpreting,and thus this report focuses on analyzing the application of foreignization in the interpreting.Additionally,faced with long discourse,interpreters should combine domestication and foreignization.Through analysis,the author found that the most effective method of solving those difficulties caused by cultural biases is to appropriately choose foreignization,domestication or both of them after considering the context and discourse.The author hopes that this report can be a reference for interpreters to adopt foreignization and domestication appropriately when encountering the difficulties caused by cultural differences...
