Improvement of living standard has shifted most people's perceptions of quality of life beyond filling basic living needs such as sufficient food and clothing towards healthy mindset and pleasant inner feeling. The reality put forward higher and newer require. In the Past, psychologists'research has been focused on negative psychology, such as diagnosing and curing mental problems and illnesses. They try to reduce people's positive feelings to shift people's quality of life. Research on positive influence of healthy mindset has been left unexplored. Further studies have provided evidences to psychologists that research on negative motion and morbid psychology does not promote happiness while positive motion and healthy mental wellness are more meaningful on that regard. The positive psychology emerged out of this wave of thoughts at the time. As the important part of the realm of positive psychology, the Subjective Well- being (brief name SWB) is particularly paid attention to. The Subjective Well- being refers to an individual's overall evaluation on his quality of life according to the standards devised by himself. It has become an important comprehensive psychological index to measure the mass of people's life satisfaction.Considering there are limited studies about the teenagers, this research concentrates on high school students. High school is a very important stage for the students in their late phase of the adolescence growth period. Their physiological and intellectual developments are close to mature and they express more abundant and stable characteristics in their personality and other mental qualities. More importantly, these Chinese high school students face a most critical exam of their lives that decides whether they can continue with higher education or have to go find a job after high school. This study researches into high school students'subjective well-being and how they evaluate their living state with such a huge pressure in life by analyzing the impact of their self-esteem and coping style. It sheds lights on the understanding of the Subjective Well- being of the high school students and other relevant influence factors. With better understanding of their mental states we can better help improve their living quality.This research adopted the General Well-being Schedule, Rosenberg Self-esteem Questionnaire, and the Coping Style Questionnaire devised by Jihua Xiao. 667 high school students of WeiFang Second High School participated. The results of this research indicate:1. High school students'general Subjective Well- being is at medium level.2. The Subjective Well- being of high school students does not show significant differences across sexes.3. The Subjective Well- being of high school students does show significant differences across grades. First and second year high school students have significantly higher Subjective Well- being than the third year higher school students.
