Abstract: The relationship between feminist theory of France and America and body was studied. The present paper showed that both French feminists and American feminists pay attention to "body", which is related closely to their feminist theories and plays an important role in it. The dissertation was divided into three parts as follow:The first part: The relationship between France feminist theories and body. The present paper showed that the three famous French feminists focus on the study of body in building their theories, Luce Irigaray criticized the theories of Freud et al. at first, then advocated to build female subjectivity and fair, harmonious and perfect bisexual relation at the base of respecting female body and bisexual difference; Julia Kristeva thought body always be regarded as an excluded symbol of signifier, she attempted to construct her theory of semeiology by means of bringing the inexact, disordered and splitting discourse into the whole human discourses and language; Helene Cixous claimed that we could acquire resource of feminine writing from body, including desire, experience and drive force and so on. She also acted feminine writing as great power to resist patriarchy and overthrow phallus centralism.The second part: The relationship between American feminist theories and body. American feminists, such as Susan Gubart, Sandra gilbert, Elaine Showalter, considered that feminine writing has been restricted seriously by female body in the male discourse. They also thought that females should be acquainted exactly with their bodies before their self-conscious literature writing. Elaine Showalter emphasized that in the real feminine writing we should exceed in existing writing modes of male and female and the narrow stereotype of body, seeking for the possibilities of widening feminine writing in the field of cultural, social and mental space to pave road in theory for structure of diversified feminine writing, but not review bisexual writing from bisexual physiological character.The third part: Comparison feminist theories between American and France and body. There are two same points about feminist theories between American and France and body. Firstly, it is a consciousness behavior of feminists that body is entered into their theories. Secondly, it is showed that a strong critical consciousness, reflecting on spirit in their feminist theories, and the feminists made great efforts from deconstructing phallocentrism to construct female subjectivity.
