The Research Of Auxiliary Verb In Huai Nanzi

The auxiliary verb is a group of words belonging to verb. And it has its own particular grammatical feature.The paper studies all the auxiliary verbs in Huai Nanzi by analying them from three aspects of sytactics, semantics and pragmatics in order to outline the characteristics of Chinese auxiliary verbs at the end of ancient period.The paper consists of seven parts.Firstly,forwards.We give a brief introduction of auxiliary verbs.Then, we give a brief introduction of concept of Huai Nanzi.And we define the edition of the book.Secondly,the general situation of the auxiliary verbs in Huai Nanzi.We list the achievement of research before.Then ,definition and four formulas are set up to distinguish auxiliary verbs. We expound the relation between the auxiliary verbs ang the common verbs.Thirdly,the situation of use of the auxiliary verbs. There are fourteen auxiliary verbs in Huai Nanzi which is divided into three groups.We study all the auxiliary verbs in this book,ang make a introduction of them.Fourthly,analy the sytactics of the auxiliary verbs.We divided the auxiliary verbs into three groups.We think the sytactics of the auxiliary verbs can be grouped into three types.Each of them has its own characters and variants.Fifthly,analy the semantics of the auxiliary verbs.The semantic foundation of the auxiliary verbs is found in the description of people's feelings of objective matters.These verbs have the same prerequisite sememes and different distinctive sememes while the prerequisite sememes groups all the auxiliary verbs together and the distinctive sememes makes them distinguished from the other auxiliary verbs.Then we analy the sememes of every auxiliary verb detailedly.Sixthly,the compare between Huai Nanzi and the books of pre-Qin.We can find the variants of the auxiliary verbs in these years.Then we analy the cause of these variants from the point of view of pragmatics.Seventhly,summarizement.Basing on the former analysis, we have some conclusions:the struction of "Auxiliary verb+VP" is a decisive factor which causes common verbs shifting into the auxiliary verbs.The auxiliary verb is an organic system of trends.The auxiliary verbs in the ancient period was going to form.
