The policy of filling the population vacancy from Huguang provinces attracted a large amout of immigrants in Qing Dynasty.The area of Mount Daba where sichuan province,Hubei province and shanxi provinse meet is not,an exception .The large amount of immigrants constituted the immigrant society.How did the immigrant achieve their clan identity.regional identity.cultural identity and nativalization finally?This dissertation studies the immigrants of Mount Daba in Qing Dynasty and,their nativalization by the means of Histerical Anthropology with abundant local material and folk articles.this dissertation is divided into eight parts including interoduction,main body and summary. In the introduction,the auther summarizes thetheories of immigrants,and reriews the studies of the immigrants and their society,then expounds the present sense and research way of this dissertation.In the second part ,the author studies the situation of the immigrants and demonstrates the immigrant society of Mount Daba through genealogy material.In the third part,the author expounds the process of the clan identity of the immigrants through analying the activities that the immigrants built and maintained the Dong stockaded villages ,their safety forts.In the fourth part,through analysing the marriage material in genealogy,the author reveals the situations of the immigrants'marriages,and analyses the usage of marriage to the clan identity of immigrants,then expounds the relationship betwean the relations by marriage and the clan socieaty;also indicates that marriage isan important and effective means to adjust the rlationship between the clan groups.In the fifth part,through analysing the genealogy,the author reveals the forming and developing processes of the immigrant clans and their traits,and analyses the affect ofthe goverment in clan conflicts and the relationship between the clans and the goverment;also indicates that theforming of clan society is the very important sign of the immigrant nativalization and shows the process of the clan identity of the immigrants.In the sixth part, the author analyses the affect of the folk faith in the immigrant nativalization interms of folk faith.The immigrants moved the gods of their hometowns to their new residences,and lost their memories about their hometowns gradually as the time passed and the residents communicated with each other.As a result,the immigrants faith were generalized,that means the gods of their hometowns were changed into the common gods of the...
