Mankind has the nature of exploring logistic causality, which is called"Attribution"in psychology. The sort of psychological behavior is one of the most important cognitive activities of human being. Human cognitive activity can't be separated from speech act. In contemporary Chinese, compound words, phrases, simple sentences, complex sentences, sentence groups, even texts can be used to express the content of causality. In speech act, simple sentences are used frequently, which can express causality. The simple sentence patterns implicating have not been summarized systematical in grammar of contemporary Chinese. Chinese teaching seldom analyzes the causality in the meaning of simple sentence. It is necessary for as to do a comprehensive study systematical on the patterns and meaning of sentences implicating causality and then use the theory to analyze sentence meaning in teaching practice so as to improve students'ability to analyze simple sentences.In contemporary Chinese there are eight simple sentence patterns which can implicate causality. They are: simple sentence marked by words of causality, predicate sentence with predicate and compliment implicating causality, pivotal predicate sentence implicating causality, predicate sentence with joined verbs implicating causality, predicate sentence with verb and object implicating causality, simple sentence with adverbial modifier implicating causality, ba(把) sentence or bei(被) sentence implicating causality, the extended form of you(有)sentence implicating causality.According to resent research, there are a little more than ten patterns of simple sentence in modern Chinese.
