The previous studys on Rong county dialect were limited to individual locations dialect's initial consonant , vowel and tone of the summary record. This paper, through informative fieldwork and related information comparative study, divided into three chapters of Rong county dialect such as phonetic systems and internal differences to be fully described.Chapter one, a detailed description of Rong county dialect including the phonetic system; the principles of mutation; the differences of literature pronunciation and oral pronunciation. The dialect of the Rong county belong to the Renfu district which is a branch of the Guanchi district in southwest mandarin. The outstanding phonetic characteristics of Rong county dialect is as follows: (l)the middle ancient rusheng tone is merge into today's qusheng tone of Rong county dialect. (2)The third and fourth grade Shusheng vowels in Xian and Shan groups in middle ages is pronounced as "in" today .the third and fourth grade Shusheng vowels in Shan group is pronounced as "yn" today. (3)The Shusheng vowels in Dang and Jiang groups of middle ages is pronounced as "an ian uan" today.Chapter two, the internal differences analysis of Rong county dialect, including the new and old differences and geographical differences. And discussed the geographical differences of three districts and two different dialects in this chapter too.Chapter three, discussed some issues on tone and vowels characteristics from the perspective of dialect Geographical distribution in southwest mandarin.The issues and phenomena involving dialect geography has been mapped into dialect atlas...
