Wang Bida(AD1821-1881), a style Zhifu, assumed name Xiaxuan, was a commoner who was born in Lingui County (Guilin ), Guangxi. He was the father of Wang Pengyun, who was the famouse poet in the Late Qing Dynasty. Wang Bida was experienced four emperors: Daoguang, Xianfeng, Tongzhi, Guangxu. He was ever experienced the turbulent Movement Of Tai Ping Tian Guo. He had the high aspiration and strong desire to save the nation. He become Zou Minghe's and Zeng Guofan's assistant to a ranking official, follow Zeng Guofan and Hu Linyi, to make the great undertaking of restoration of Qing Dynasty. He was braved and dattlewised with Tai Ping army. He was an honest and incorruptible official when he in Jiangxi and Gansu, safeguarded territory and people, reformed the bad policy. It was some achievements in his official career.The academia has made a systematic study of Wang Pengyun and his works. However, The academia hasn't developed a neatened and thorough study on Wang Bida and his works. The auther gather many matertirals to study Wang Bida. Though this dissertation recenses and annotates the part poems of Wang Bida, the author deeply and wholly explored Wang Bida's life career, ideas and poems. This dissertation have several aspects, such as Wang Bida's life career, Wang Bida's ideas' study, Wang Bida's works and the information about the edition, the poems's ideas and content, and the artistic characters and the limits of this collection. Thus this dissertation tries to present the literary and historical values of Wang Bida's works, through his life footmark.
