On Study Of Chengsui's Sealing Cutting Art

Beginning with reviews on his style and assumed names,family and life, and according to the historical materials, this thesis tellsChengsui's life experiences, that is, developing himself by learning froma great many masters during different periods. On this basis, inconsideration of circulation of his printing and dyeing and origins of hisart creation as well as the aesthetic orientation relationship with poetry of"Jingling Group", this article also makes a detailed analysis of Chengsui's"well-proportioned" style, which gets rid of that of Wenhe, and points outa consistency of aesthetic standards with "Jingling Group". Sorting outthe origins of his creation and social influences and studying Cheng'sartistic style, the article concludes that Chengsui's seal cutting not onlyhas the influence in Hui province of Qing Dynasty, Yangzhou andDonggao, but also bears one of significant origins of seal cutting ofZhejiang province.
