Initial Study On The Construction Of Training System Of Oral Communication Of Higher Vocational Nurse Students

Along with both of the development of modern medicine and the change of disease chart, medicinal mode is changing from the biological medicinal type into biological, psychological and social medicinal type. To meet the increasing demand of modern medicine, nurses are committed to possess the interpersonal ability and communication skill in a higher level. Oral communication is one of the essential professional abilities for nurses; therefore better oral communication empowers nurses to improve their qualifications, and to transfer their roles from solely as technique operators and doctor assistants into multiply as nursing professional staff, educators and monitors.It becomes more and more important for higher vocational nursing students with five-year study to develop their oral communication skills as they are having more time studying at school. By the approaches of analysis, synthesis, induction and deduction, this thesis analyzes the importance of constructing the Training System of Oral Communication for Higher Vocational Nursing Students (TSOC) according to the relative studies of the rapid development and the important change of higher nursing vocational education, and the clinic nursing requirement of Wuxi Hygienical School as well. This thesis also includes the results of writer's research project which demonstrate that the ability of oral communication of the higher vocational nursing students can be significantly improved by TSOC.From the writer's opinion, the TSOC should target to develop the ability of oral communication for higher vocational nursing students. With the dimensionality of timing, the constructing of TSOC could be set by "Year, Semester and Week" matching with the three levels of contents of "Basic, Advanced and Professional". TSOC is the organic combination of both the timing and content system. It might be vitally important to practicing the principles of "One center", "Two intersections" and "Three Combinations" to put TSOC into effective use. Evidently, TSOC could empower higher vocational nursing students with better ability of oral communication and enable them to meet the requirements of modern nursing.
