Five-year higher vocational nursing program is now serving as a very dominant medium of cultivating the nurses with application-oriented and skillful talents for nursing and health care. Chinese competence is the significant foundation to make the students more professional.By presenting the current Chinese teaching which lacks of efficiency and unique feature in the five-year program, this paper attempts to make a detailed study of how to optimize the Chinese teaching. It'll be divided into five chapters, focusing on the following main aspects:Chapter one will aim at the analysis of the social status, current situation and value of Chinese course in the five-year nursing program in an attempt to reveal the necessity and urgency of optimizing the present Chinese teaching.Chapter two will give a brief account of the coherence between generalization and specialty, the combination between basic knowledge and application, the accord between prediction and process when designing the teaching objectives from the point of view of optimizing the teaching objectives.Chapter three will be devoted to integrating the nursing program with Chinese teaching, rearranging the course content and strengthening the practical writing on the basis of optimizing the teaching content.Chapter four will deal primarily with the importance of adopting the professional strategies with the emphasis on training students in accordance of their gender in terms of optimizing the learning strategies.Chapter five will put forward the suggestion that the assessment should attach great importance to the teachers' professional development, whose content should emphasize on teachers' professional virtue and knowledge composing. Moreover, the assessment should be performed in a multi-polar way. On the assessment of the students, teachers should pay more attention to their professional competences, whereas the assessing approaches should be diversified and flexible.
