All along, the relationship between work and family are subject to management, sociology and psychology researchers’ attention. Work and family life are twoimportant components of individual’s life. Interaction between work and family hasan important impact for the people. Previous studies, most attention goes towork and family conflict of a sight of a worker, relatively little attention goes to thespillover effect when the worker act as a parent.Since the30s of the last century, foreign researchers does a lot work ofexploring the relationship between parents’s work and youth development. Theyconsider that in addition to the work environment, parents’ the work experience, especially negative experience, will overflow into the family, make familyinterpersonal quality deteriorated, and thus turn to the adolescents’ mental health andbehavior. However, the domestic research in this field is relatively small. This study summarizes the relevant foreign researches of parents’ workstressors, work stress sense and basic parenting behavior, adolescent problembehaviors, explore their relations through questionnaires and situational observation. The results were as follows:(1) there are obvious causal relationship between the work stressors and workstress, but relative independence still exits.(2) parenting behavior is an important factor of adolescent behavior, but hisfather’ and mother’ parenting affect different aspect of the adolescent’sbehavior.Father’s over-protective can predict the behavior of the child behaviorproblems, aggressive behavior and test anxiety; mother parenting behavior, overprotection predict adolescent’s test anxiety.(3) There is a significant negative correlation between parents working pressureand the warmth, the work stress and the warmth.(4) There is a significant negative correlation between positive behavior andemotional reactions; a significant negative correlation also exists in negativebehavior and emotional reactions;there is a significant positive correlation betweennegative behavior and work stress. That is, along with a sense of increased workpressure, negative parenting behavior increase; when emotional response increase, positive parenting behavior would be reduced, negative parenting behavior wouldbe increased.
