The Research For Muslim Ornament Art In Linxia, Gansu

This article's focus of study is ornament art of Muslim, to emphasize Linxia higher fame and it's representativeness in Chinese Islam, as Islam's areas. Because Muslim here keeps stranger awareness of nationality, religion and culture; and they still maintain some especial things in Islam art. Here Islam's building and ornament's art are embodied well. Because of strict Islam purpose and spirit's influence, Muslim ornament art only can be embodied in building, body and some artificial ornament, which have some limit and specialty. On the basis of reality, this article can only study Muslim's ornament art in the area from building and body, meanwhile, put some special ornament forms (such as carved in bricks, carved in wood, carved in stone, painting and calligraphy, landscape painting, handicrafts and so on) into these research for building and body ornament, because thus we can know of these special ornament art and their forms wholly. This article will mainly talk about building ornament arts, and put the emphasis for research on the Mosques, Gongbei and so on, some secular buildings, because this building is some representative crafts there, and host of other art forms were used, which is a comprehensive body and has a higher value for research. Because body ornament art's forms in the area are not rich than that of building, so we only can make some simple research, and try to hunt out some more valuable things; And through the research of these art forms, we try to sum up their essence in nationalities, religions and cultures, to uncover it's existence and development's cause, and to further develop these special ethnic arts.
