Based on Marx's the theory of freedom, this thesis discuss the freedom by analyzing the freedom of individuals and the freedom of society, and analyzes the future of freedom, the realm of Kingdom. Nowadays, in the course of socialism market economic development, Freedom becomes an important project. A lot of thinkers try to discuss this problem. This thesis tries to discuss freedom from a new angle, tracing the Marx's theory of freedom.In preface, first I introduce Marx's the theory of freedom, sum up the summarization of freedom. Marx drew the concept of practice into the freedom; he defined the freedom as the recognizing and utilizing of necessity, that is to say, the transform of the world. Freedom is to get rid of the shackles of the world and others, to act in accordance with its own aims and aspirations. In his"Paris Note Books", Marx analyzed the freedom of individuals. He pointed out that the prerequisite of the freedom was the liberation and personal development. Freedom is a historical process; it is human nature to pursue freedom. Relative, the freedom of society is the level of a nation, a social class, a society. The productivity and the relations of production restricts the freedom of society, the independent of this nation is also a very important factor.The relationship between individual freedom and social freedom is dialectical. The freedom of society is the precondition and basis for individual freedom, it provided to individuals in a free space for play. The social freedom is the abstract of individual freedom. On the other side, individual freedom plays a role in promoting the social freedom; social freedom is the realization of individual freedom. Nowadays, Chinese society has been in the Commodity Economy. In this kind of society, the ability of human has been commercialized, the relations between people have been objectified, and the controlling nature was limited by restrictions. This is a era of dependence and independence to the object. The general, extensive social connections make individuals and mankind as a whole. The individual freedom becomes a truly part of social freedom. In the Commodity Economy, the productivity has been greatly improved; the liberal dominance of the corresponding has been improved, so the individual freedom has been enhanced. Yet, the human being has been unprecedented split into individual; the contradictions between individual and the material world have become increasingly prominent. The individual freedom can only be relative.In the blueprint of the future nation, Marx and Engels described the best form of human nation, which is"the alliance of humans who have full freedom". In that society, private ownership of the means of production will be eliminated, the public ownership of the means of production will be established, the greatly improved labor productivity makes people engage in the work that he really want to do. Thus achieving human's overall development, in the realm of Kingdom, personal liberation and social liberation is unified. One side, the domination of the natural, the nation and people himself become realized. The other side, all members of society will control its own real conditions of the collective survival. The society will be the joint of a free man.Only in this sense, we can understand the longing for freedom of Marx. It is not to replace the whole nature of the individual, it is the unified of individual freedom and social freedom.
