The theory of Individual self-independency is an important part of Marx's thoughts. Marx took realistic individual as the starting point of his conception of history and reconsidered the problems of "individual". He made known his own view on the relationship between individual,country and society,on that liberty and equality'. The author analyses individual liberty,social justice and equality' of contemporary Liberalism and concludes that the theory of contemporary Liberalism was a reflection on the demands of market-oriented economy. Its theory of individual liberty lacked of the beckground of reality- and its theory of social justice and equality' was based on the private ownership so that it can't resolved the contradiction between individual liberty and social justice in the real society. This paper holds that Marx's thoughts on individual self-mastering has theoretical and practical significance in dealing with Liberalism and constructing market-oriented economy.
