Family education plays a vital role in the growth of children. Emotional intelligence education is an important part of family education. So far, it is almost no studies on the relationship of family emotional intelligence education and life adaptation among junior school students. This study compiled and revised "Family Emotional Intelligence Education Questionnaire for Junior School Student" and "Life Adaptation Questionnaire for Junior School Student", on the basis of using opening questionnaires and interviews, and sampled junior school students in Gejiu City of Yunnan Province. Based on the results of statistical studies, the thesis discusses the status of family emotional intelligence education and life adaptation of junior school students. And also studies how family emotional intelligence education influences on life education. The results showed:(1) The self-made "Family Emotional Intelligence Education Questionnaire for Junior School Student" and "Life Adaptation Questionnaire for Junior School Student" are of good reliability and fair validity. They can be used as credible and effective tools for measuring family emotional intelligence education and life adaptation for junior school student.(2) By means of exploratory factor analysis, the research found that "Family Emotional Intelligence Education Questionnaire for Junior School Students" is constructed of five dimensions: education for awareness of emotion, education for emotion expressing and controlling, education for positive emotion regulation, education for negative emotion regulation and education for emotion application. "Life Adaptation Questionnaire for Junior School Student" is constructed of eight dimensions: Peer adaptation, family adaptation-positive, family adaptation-negative, teacher adaptation-positive, teacher adaptation-negative, academic adaptation, self-management, and emotional management.(3) These two questionnaires and every factor of them showed a positive trend among junior school students.(4) The condition of mother emotional intelligence education is better than father emotional intelligence education.(5) In family emotional intelligence education and life adaptation, girls are better than boys, junior school students belong to one-child family are better than those that students belong to more-than-one-child family.(6)The condition of family emotional intelligence education becomes better and better by grade ascending. The life adaptation of grade two students is best.(7) Students whose parents are divorced and get their new families have generally worse condition of family emotional intelligence education and life adaptation. And the students whose families get middle-level incomes have better condition.(8) With the improvement of educational level of parents, family emotional intelligence education and life adaptation become better and better. Family emotional intelligence education significantly impact on life adaptation. Parents' education backgrounds for emotional application may act as intermediate variables which significantly impact on life adaptation of junior school students.
