In this paper, the author intended to study on ZengGuofan's Family education ethical ideas and its modern inspiration. The author thinks it still has certain theoretical value and great important reality significance to study on Zeng Guofan's family education ethical ideas and its modern inspiration. The essence of Zeng Guofan's family education ethical ideas are very colorful and its main essence as following four points: firstly, the way of how to cultivate one's moral characters and then to be a great man; secondly, the way of how to make friends and solve social problems; thirdly, the way of how to pursue one's studies and making progress; fourth, the way of how to keep both body and mind in good healthy. It's easy to sum up its most important four distinguishing features by grubbing Zeng Guofan's family education ethical ideas: 1. the contents of his family education was took moral education as top priority; 2. the target of his family education was equality of men and women; 3.the methods of his family education were scientific and effective; 4.the purpose of his family education was to made his young dependants can be"cultivate one's moral character, manage a family , administer a country and pacify the world".when studying on the ideas of a history man, we should not only grubbing it's essence or just sum up it's features, but also need to make a deep reflection of it, then we can get some useful inspiration from it. The modern inspirations can show as followings: firstly, make all parents know clearly that the purpose of family education is to cultivating talents for our country; secondly, tell all parents must vary ways at different stages; thirdly, society, school, family should try their best to building a nice environment for family education together; fourthly, all parents should discarding reasonable and learn scientific to all the ethical cultures and experiences ;fifth, parents need to renew their concepts of family education ,then try to catch the step with the times; sixthly , it's very precious for parents to write family letters to their children in the information days; seventhly , suggest our parents to accept some professional guarding from having class in parents school.We wish that the contemporary family education ethical ideas can be scientific developed, which do good to our country's socialist spirit civilization building, so many talents we really need for our country. Then the families are richer and happier, our country will be more powerful and harmonious.
