Through the observation on the discussion and literature collection about folk literary theories among scholars in mass education ,the author of this thesis believes that their efforts have to some extent extended and developed modern folk literary movements. In the movements of mass education, the educators have attempted to collect and improve the literary texts coming down from folk life , fill in new contents which will reflect the sprits of our era , then apply them in the mass life and reach the aim of the construction of a modern and national country . Their foractice is actually an intervention reform on the normal folk life . It takes folklore and folk literature as a model to improve the mass cultural life . This deserves the reference for contemporary scholars studying folk culture . The application of the conformity function of folklore and folk literature in theoery as well as in foractice is forapitious to the strengthening of the expository power of folklore an folk literature . And it is also propitious to the exertion of the function of folkore and folk literature in the moden transformation of the Chinese people's daily life .
