With information age brings human being colorful life and convenience, new idea and multiple views are influencing people. At one aspect, the more people chase material and mental possessions, the more they care about their inner experience and emotion; at the other part, this phenomenon has broken the family status which is highly stable and low quality. Studied from the education, divorce can not only make Psychic trauma to the couples, but also bring infinite matricide to their children who are trapped into the emotion battle and change of the family structure. To a certain extent, parent's divorce may hold back their children's intelligence, character, sentiment, and the development in their society, even cause their children's psychosis and psychopath, and affect the increment of population quality in our nation. This paper is studying comparison between family in divorced status and the completed family, and investigating the effect on children's mental health when their parents divorced.This research used measurement and questionnaire surveys to measure the mental health of the students in Shenyang several elementary and junior middle schools; to compare the children who are in a divorced family with the other part of the children who are from an integrated family and to investigate deeply on children who are in a divorced family according to the questionnaire survey on children and parents from divorced family and teachers. The result shows that the children's mental health of the children from a divorced family is totally lower than those children who are in a integrated family. The anxiety to study and people, solitary tendency, self-accusation tendency, hyper susceptibility tendency and impulsion tendency in children from a divorced family is higher than those in children from an integrated family. Studied from the sex, the mental health of boys and girls from a divorced family is obviously lower than that from integrated family Studied from the single parent time, the children's mental health whose parents have divorced at most five years is clearly lower than whose parents have divorced over five years. Studied from divorced family and remarried family, the mental health of children from the two types isn't different. Investigated on the effect, children's mental health is influenced by the negative effect from parents' bad temper, the disorder between parents and the children, the decrease from the social supporting, the disorder of parents' cultural methods, the pressure from the social value and the individual factors. This research has a certain value on how to make mental health of children from divorced family better.
