"Target Needs Analysis"is one of the most important features in Language for Special Purpose(LSP). In the field of LSP, English for Specific Purpose (ESP) is the most famouse one and has most abondant works.In the history of ESP",'Target Needs Analysis"can be called the watershed.,which brought huge improvement in ESP,make the teaching of ESP more effective .However,in chinese teaching ,the idea of"needs analysis"has tiny influence,the principle and theroy of ESP has not been introduced systemly ,let alone"Target needs Analysis".Hence,this research has some meaning. It shows us the basic principles and theroy of ESP .What is more meaingful, it set up practical research according to the rules of"Target needs Analysis",especailly under the instruction of the mode of"Target needs Analysis"showed in John Munby,s ,which has significant influence in the theroy of"Target needs Analysis".The researcher did practical research with the help of four participants who use Chinese in their work.The researcher surveyed their indentity and the information of purpose domain,seeting,inteaction, tone &attitude and communicative events when they use Chinese. All of these are very important and demonstrate that the theroy of ESP especially the priciple and method of"Target needs Analysis"can be utilised in chinese teaching with some change according to the features of Chinese and Chinese teaching.What is more, the reseacher showed some suggestions in utilising this theory.All of these all very meaningful not only in the pactice of Business Chinese but also in the futures research .
