It is the most dynamic factor in the rural economy, and plays an important role in socio-economic development of the border.In history, people with limited knowledge of aniseed and use of the aniseed in a limited level, so its potential economic value in the recent past has not been well developed and utilized. Though artificial cultivation to aniseed was earlier, but the scale was not large. With the expanded use of aniseed and the aniseed oil processing technology intentioned, as well as the infiltration of the commodity economy, It gradually began to be developed . Due to the high value of aniseed oil profits, people began to carry out large-scale arable development of the border areas in Guangxi, planted aniseed for economic development. It can be said that modern times is an important period of the development of aniseed. The knowledge of aniseed and use of it in modern times has greater developmental, and it has become one of bulk commodities. In this period aniseed planting has been rapid development.In order to investigate the characteristics of resource development in border areas, this paper using aniseed resources as cases to perspective the modern government and nongovernmental forces in the development of the border areas in modern period. On the basis of extensive data collection, this paper using the traditional paper method of historical research, the empirical method, and the analysis and description. By discussion and analysis the border region of Guangxi, we can rich the history of the development of the border areas of Guangxi. In short, as a modern features resources, aniseed played a positive role to in the development of the border areas in Guangxi. First, economic growth, expanding markets are favorable to stability in border areas; Secondly, to provide the example for agricultural modernization with Chinese characteristics.
