Music therapy is based on psychology therapy theory and method. It uses non-language musical esthetical experience and the activity of playing music to achieve the goal of mood regulation.The goal of this research is to help those undergraduates, who are with low interpersonal adaptability and social anxiety to some extend and explore effective ways to meliorate this actuality, make out feasible plans using music therapy and validate its effect.This research uses the method of scaling on 1000 undergraduates by the tool social anxiety and obviation scale table to filter and evaluate the objects. 96 undergraduates who have social anxiety are finally chosen to be research objects. They are divided into experiment group and compare group. Experiment group is treated by music therapy with SCL-90 scale table and IAS scale table; compare group takes nothing. After intervention, longitudinal and horizontal comparisons are made, combined with self- and peer- assessment and evaluations are carried out according to results before and after the experiment.The research outcome shows:1. There are undergraduates who have social anxiety more or less, and the anxiety level are influenced by age, sex, and profession characters.2. Music therapy is proven to reduce social anxiety effectively, and dramatically make it better in interpersonal sensitivity, somatization, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, depressive symptoms, phobia, paranoia and anxiety and etc.3. According to follow-up survey, music therapy is proven to regulate people's mood, reduce autism, and have a good continuous effect.
