Tone is widespread as one of essential components in semantics. However, many foreign students are still so weak in studying modal particles which is as a key factor of tone expression. Especially in such the Intermediate Chinese , an oriented comprehensive training, teaching and researching modal particles are obviously important. Therefore, it is still a question for discussion, at which the purpose of this research is located, how to find out more problems from teaching process, teaching material, and language test, to raise the solution, and meanwhile to let the students precisely know well how to use the tone words in Chinese.First of all this paper presents a brief introduction of the basic theory of modal particles and the current profile for external teaching Chinese.
