Dunhuang and Turpan instruments kept for the large number of names, Most of the names different from the masters of the records in history books of emperors and generals, Homer Aristocracy; also different from the historical novels of fictional character. They are four mid-century to the 10th century and late period of Dunhuang and Turpan areas of the ordinary people. From these names, revealing the ancient social psychology, aesthetic concepts, values, national association and their survival and living environment for the community.This paper has three parts, starting with the 4-7 century Turpan instruments feature the names, classification and causes. Make the classificati about the names of the monks, on the Road, unearthed of Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties period instruments. A comparative study Discussion of which are included in the cultural connotation and reflects the historical character. And focused on the translation of the Sogdian.The second part of the Dunhuang Documents from the 5 century to early 10 century, later make the names of analysis and research. From the religious, cultural, geographical, ethnic and other aspects of the names were classified and compared. A study of each of the named historical identity, cultural styles, explore its origins and causes. Especially on the instrument are significant and wonderfully Humble, double name , and Hu name.Finally, a comparative study of Dunhuang and Turpan names about the overall Dynasty features was made through the names example in the instruments.
