"The Scholar" is the well-known lengthy vemacular novel in the leaf QingDynasty, its language achievement is quite high. It not only had reflected itslanguage characteristic which locates the time, also has the dialect color of thecreating region. The Qing Dynasty is in the neoteric Chinese time, during theperiod of the antiquity, Middle Ages Chinese transition to the modem Chinese,its language has the characteristics which link the preceding with the following.But the massive languages material of "The Scholar" demonstrating, may enableus to understand the language actual utilization at that age, also may let ourperceive of some rules of the neoteric Chinese transit to the modem Chinesegradually. This article selects the question sentence of "The Scholar"being asealed cope, uses the qualitative and quota analysis method, exhaustivelydescribes from Synchronic and the Diachronic angle, systematically studies, andcarries on the comparison with the modem Chinese, to reveal the venation ofChinese question sentence system evolves to the modem Chinese in the leafQing Dynasty.This article altogether divides into six chapters in the structure. The Firstchapter is the introduction: Introduces "The Scholar" author, language, edition,research history and present situation and so on; The Second and the third chapters are the rhetorical question sentence and the special question sentence:Symbolized by the expression method of question sentence as the form that,dividing internal minor sort, seeking for the history evolvement, revealling thenew and old coexistent phenomenon;The Fourth and the fifth chapters are theyes-no question sentence and the alternative question sentence: Describes andcounts the overall situation of the two kind of questions sentences, analyzes thecharacteristic of receiving the antiquity. Middle Ages Chinese and opening themodem Chinese,unfolds the sentence's color of Jianghuai dialect; The Sixthchapter is the conclusion of the full text: In the foundation of "The Scholar"question sentence description and analysis, makes the induction and summary.Finally, we thought that, In the period of the neoteric Chinese transition to themodem Chinese,the question sentence in "The Scholar" not only manifested thelanguage inheriting, moreover also quite close to the modem Chinese; Not onlyhas own integrate systematic characteristics, also has the color of Jianghuaidialect; In the certain degree, it really has reflected the real language conditionat that time.
