After a deep research on the definition, the paper summarizes Chinese grammarians' internal classification, expressive function and the marked words of the Transition compound sentences. Writer made a survey on 43 foreign students and collected more than 30 ill-formed sentences. In the process of discussion the causes the writer found the foreign students always made four kinds of mistakes, they are omission, addition, wrong alternation and disorder. The reason is that the traditional Chinese grammar system made the Transition compound methods. Which causes these many problems can not be resolved. So the writer decide to restructure the classification system of the compound sentences by using a trichotomy instead of the binary concept, parallelism-ordination method to put the Transition compound sentence system into the parallel sentence, causality and turning ones, and use the method of semantic analysis and corpus inspection and a survey to go further in the study of the Transition compound sentences. As far as the writer concerned the Transition compound sentence contains all the compound sentences of turning semantic relation which emphasizes the contract of the subordinate sentence with the logical foundation of contradiction the basic expression is that "P, but Q". At the same time the writer listed all the expressive marks to explain the advantage of the triehotomy in classifying the compound sentences. In addition, the writer classified the transitional compound sentence according to the semantic relation with the mark as a controlling method which focuses on the result after turning. So we can classify the Transition compound sentences into transitional result, virtual result, accident result and stable result, and stable result also contains two types, extreme conditions and random conditions. The expressive functions of the these four types of Transition compound sentences contain: to contrast, highlight and strengthen the idea, to suppose, induce and test the fact, to abandon, typothese and make surprised, to sum up contexts and focus on the idea. After a careful research on the Transition compound sentences the writer chose a typical textbook of teaching Chinese, "Chinese textbook of foreigners for graduate students" as a foreign language and pointed out its advantages and disadvantages in dealing the turning compound sentences. Then the writer made some advice that is the edition of the text should base on a proper teaching schedule and the attention should be paid on the structure of the sentence. More practice should be made in pragmatic function and strength than the analysis of the context.
