The theoretical basis of this paper is the three-dimensional grammar. We are trying to analyze a special phenomenon of modern Chinese language implicit negative rhetorical question sentence. This paper, with the qualitative and quantitative analysis,research corpus collected, to explore the syntactic structure and pragmatic of implicit negative rhetorical question sentence. The full text is divided into three chapters to elaborate.Chapter One: The nature and scope of implicit negative rhetorical question sentence were defined. From concept, it is divided into three levels: the rhetorical question, implicit denial, implicit negative rhetorical question sentence.This part will step forward to reveal implicit negative rhetorical question sentence, refers to the surface structure does not contain negative words, but the expression negative sense.Chapter Two: syntactic structure types. Mainly include two categories:non-recessive implicit negative rhetorical question sentence and unspecified recessive implicit negative rhetorical question sentence. This chapter analyzes these two types of syntactic structures, specific to each of the categories.Chapter Three: Pragmatic analysis. This articles is divided the pragmatic analysis of implicit negative rhetorical question sentence into four areas: text position,relationships, contextual analysis and analysis of pragmatic functions. We summarizes four text position, three relationships, as well as seven context and pragmatic function types.The part of conclusion summarizes the main contents of this paper, and make a note for deficiencies.
