The"story character"in Chinese teaching material is a creative and novel area which has not yet been deeply researched. Firstly, I did a conclusion about the importance and shortcomings of Chinese teaching material of which is the lack of interesting quality. Due to some theories, in a way, the more story character exists in the teaching material, the more interesting it can be.A whole story itself can be divided into three parts: structure,characters and scenario. What's more, some elements also can't be ignored, such as conflict and theatricality."Family Album U.S.A."is a typical teaching book full of"story character". The analysis of it not just give a original conception of"story character"in teaching material but a standard of choosing right Chinese teaching material as samples.After explaining ten sets of Chinese teaching books, the conclusions below have five parts:1. The way of presenting"story character"in Chinese teaching material which conclude structure, style and some elements of a story.2. The characteristics of"story character"in Chinese teaching material compared with story–writing in screen theory and skill3. The relationship between"story character"and the level of Chinese teaching material4. Absorbing"story character"into Chinese teaching material is necessary and meaningful which represents in several aspects5. The localization of"story character"in Chinese teaching material and how to get over"story character"problems in recent Chinese teaching books basing on the localization...
