Chinese character teaching is one of significant and difficult points for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. Almost all the Chinese characters are the similar Chinese character. However, the existence of the similar Chinese character still make student facing with difficulty in identification and writing, create the mistake in reading and applying, and also can increase much more difficulty to Thai student that not even familiar with environment or cultural of using Chinese character.This Thesis used the research of the similar Chinese character and interesting teaching method distinguished the type of the similar Chinese character, and concluded the causation of the mistake in reading and applying Chinese Character in Thai student. In accordance with the teaching experience in Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, the writer created questionnaire and chose the student of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna to be the examinees for this research. As the result of investigation, writer use the special characteristic of the similar Chinese character plus studying style of Thai student create the Strategy and Method that is interested and attractive for students, as, Association method, Rhyme method, Jingle method and Storytelling method. Hopefully, the Strategy and Method in this thesis will create enough usefulness to Chinese teachers who teaching the similar Chinese character in Thailand, and usefully increase student’s learning efficiency.
