Study On The Settlement Patternts Of Naxi Nationality Dayan Of Lijiang In Historical Period

Naxi Nationality is one of 55 minorities in our country. They mainlylive in the mountainou areas of Yunnan,Sichuan,Xizang provinces. Naxi Nationalitywho live in Yunnan province is made up to 90% of Naxi Nationality population, andLijiang-include Yulong county and Old Town district now-is the densest area of NaxiNationality in Yunnan province, which made up to 60% of Naxi Nationalitypopulation(Yunnan Naxi). Naxi Nationality immigrated Lijiang in the early of the TangDynasty, and they created brilliant civilization in the next more than one thousand years.Dayan Old Town which was selected as world culture heritage in 1997 is one of NaxiNationality settlements. It is the most advanced civilization area among the nationality.In this paper taking the Dayan Old Town as the subject and taking time as clue, studythe change of the settlement pattern in different periods, then we can get somerecognizes about developmental characteristic and influential factors of Dayan OldTown.This article is made up of the following six parts:The first part is the introduction. It includes four sides: the subject introduction,study significance,the current research situations and study methods.The second part is about the natural environment and nation in Lijiang country,The natural environment include landform,water system,climate,propagation and so on.In addition, the origin and distributing of Naxi Nationality is also important content inthe part. They are the foundation of next study.The third part is about the settlement pattern characteristic and the influentialfactor of Dayan in Tang and Song Dynasty, which includes four sections. The firstsection introduces the origin,content and value of Dongba Jing which mainly study data.The second section is about the society status of Naxi Nationality of Lijiang from TangDynasty to Song Dynasty. The third section discusses the settlement pattern of Lijiang.There are two settlements in the period: mountain fastness and hamlet, and the former ismore advanced than the latter. The fourth section discusses the influential factor of thesettlement pattern in the period.The fourth part is about the settlement pattern characteristic and the influential factor of Dayan in Yuan and Ming Dynasty, which includes four sections. The firstsection is about the society status of Naxi Nationality of Lijiang from Yuan Dynasty toMing Dynasty. The second section discusses the settlement pattern of Lijiang. Thesettlements which lies in Lijiang Basin divided into country and town in the transitionbetween Song and Yuan Dynasty. Dayan became the town in Lijiang Basin and itbecame the capital city of Lijiang Fu in Ming Dynasty. Since then, it began to constructgovernment establishment and increasely become the economical center in Lijiang Fuexcept culture. The third section discusses the influential factor of the settlement patternin the period. The fourth section is some ideas about the reasons why Lijiang Fu hasn'tCity Wall in Ming Dynasty.The fifth part is about the settlement pattern characteristic and the influentialfactor of Dayan in Qing Dynasty, which includes four sections. The first section is aboutthe society status of Naxi Zu of Lijiang from Qing Dynasty. The second sectiondiscusses the settlement pattern of Lijiang. Dayan is still the capital city of Lijiang Fu,but took place many changes. Not only city wall but also a plenty of educationalestablishments are constructed. The bazaar of Dayan is the most flourishing bazaar inLijiang Fu also. So Dayan has become the center of politics, economy and culture inLijiang Fu. The third section discusses the influential factor of the settlement pattern inQing Dynasty.The sixth part is the summary.To sum up, this article discusses the settlement pattern of Naxi Nationality inancient Dayan of Lijiang and the influential factors.
