Study Of The Old Traffic Clique Between The End Of The Qing Dynasty And The Beginning Of The Republic Of China

The Traffic Clique was a very important political clique under the rule of the North Foreign Warlord. Under Liang Shiyi's leadership, it became a group of power that could have an impact on the political situation in the beginning of the Republic of China. This thesis lays emphasis on analyzing the political, economic and diplomatic activities in which the traffic clique was involved and analyzing the political, economic and diplomatic influences the Traffic Clique had on the administration in the beginning of the Republic of China. Finally, the thesis analyses the deeper reasons of the collapse of the traffic clique and tries to make an objective and comprehensive comment on the foundation of the previous analyses.
