Yan Zhenqing is a great calligraphist in the history. The formation of his calligraphy style is various, and his influence is also very complicated.In This paper the author stated "Theory of Two-Wang (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi)", "theory of Ou Yangxiu- Yu shinan" and other seven theories that are about the origins of Yan Zhenqing' Script, and thoroughly discussed how the calligraphy style in south-north dynasty effect on the calligraphy style in Tang dynasty. The calligraphy style in south-north dynasty was a kind of social cultural phenomenon, which still had a certain social need in early Tang dynasty, and it is foundation of the change of the calligraphy style in Tang dynasty by the quantity to the quality. Under the background, the paper further announce to public relationship of the calligraphy style in south-north dynasty and the represent of Yan Zhenqing' Script. In The peaceful times in Tang dynasty that the "Two-Wang" genuine calligraphy is difficult to find, Yan Zhenqing, as the representative calligraphists of Tang dynasty, were aware or not of learning from the calligraphy in south-north dynasty, and turn its method, cultured turn, create the strong beautiful prosperous Tang's calligraphy style. Based on this, the new conclusion is that the most important source of Yan Zhenqing' Script is the calligraphy style in south-north dynasty, especially the sculpture carvings calligraphy of Shandong and its peripheral region. Yan Zhenqing' Script and its history position really sign, not only producing to the Chinese in the past calligraphy to influence biggest, but also taking the credit to the calligraphy art of the peripheral region(Japan and Korea) very huge, produced a large quantity to learn Yang and to become the calligraphy masters. This paper compared to analyze the influence of Yan Zhenqing' Script in detail, and the influence to the Liao, Jin, Xi Xia, Japan, Korea. Yan Zhenqing' Script was used to record Confucian classics, to engrave practical realms, such as book stone tablet, book printing, the civil service exam examination and the craft creation etc. and it also have an outstanding function in day, but in the paper the two aspects such as print and the civil service exam examination are discussed mostly.
