Poetry As Being

This paper starts with the poetics of "Poetry as Being" to study the Third Generation Poetry and center on "Manipulation of Individual". Because of the abundance of the Third Generation Poetry, we maps its literary history to give a clear and organic image of this poetic phenomena.After mapping the Third Generation Poetry, and tracing back to the poem itself, we will unfold the ample "Manipulation of Individual", by close reading of representative poems of the Third Generation Poets, and combining with their poetics of the Third Generation Poetry.Individual Carnival trait of the Third Generation Poetry is demonstrated through interpretation of Manipulation of Individual and comprehension of the Image of Individual. The trait of Individual Carnival reflects two-faced and numerous and complicated Manipulation of Individual of the Third Generation Poetry. Therefore, we believe that the Third Generation Poetry is a poetry of Individual Carnival.Through the comparison of the poets, we can restore the abundant self images of poetry and poets. We will review their poetic concepts.We will put the Third Generation Poetry back to its historical background and reconstruct the history of Chinese Cotemporary New Poetry, based on the analysis of Manipulation of Individual. Further we aspire to the solution of the question "what is New Poetry".
