The concealing and revealing of Chinese auxiliary "De" when verb is used as theattribute has been paid attention to since the 1950s by the linguists. By now, quite a few linguists have written articles on the restrictive influential factors of this and concluded the rules of it. However, the problem has not been solved very properly. This paper is based on the studies of the senior linguists, concluding the rules and the restrictive factors of the concealing and revealing of "De" when verb and verbal phrase are used as the attribute in a new way. This paper also tries to study single-syllable verb and verbal phrase used as the attribute. What's more, we covers the position of the verbal attribute. The paper mainly includes four parts:The first part, foreword. This part defines the study object of this paper. Verbal attribute includes verb and verbal phrase used as the attribute. The concealing and revealing of "De" when this kind of attribute is used. The second part, verb attribute and the concealing and revealing of "De". This part studies not only the single-syllable verb attribute but also the disyllabic attribute, and when these attributes are used, "De" will appear or not. Then, we summarize the influential and restrictive factors from the grammar, semantic, pragmatic angles. The third part, verbal phrase used as the attribute and the concealing and revealing of "De". Through analyzing, we can reach a conclusion that "De" should appear when all kinds of verbal phrases are used as the attributes. The fourth part, a relative problem—the position of the verb attributes when they are used directly or indirectly.Frankly speaking, this paper mainly concludes and summarizes on the basis of the senior linguists' studies, it merely narrates my private views on some small and specific problems which I even don't know whether they are right or not, and there are not many innovations. However, the advantage of this paper is that it includes almost all the former studies on this problem of the senior linguists, so I'm sure it will be useful for the future and deeper study.
