Imaging also got the conclusion through the analysis of human nature that because of human nature both mixed good and evil characters, people cannot live if they do not follow Dao. For human reproduction, it is necessary to obey the disciplines. This understanding of the philosophy made him focusing on the relationship between disciplines and social combat confusion and formed his determinism of disciplines.Another important historical opinion of his was determinism of Emperor's will. He thought that"Dao"is the ultimate power of determining social and historical development. It is close related to emperor action whether"Dao"is criterion in the society. Therefore he paid much attention to emperor action when he summarized historical experience. He also thought emperor action was a key effect in the historical development, that is to say, politics is right when emperor action is right, then country is in disorder. How Imaging's historical opinion came into being? It was a result that he probed into relation of will,character,practice and summarized historical experience. It also was a demand that society at that time wanted.Imaging's thoughts of Discipline and Emperor's will influence social and historical prosperity was represents in his famous historical book. If we further analyzed it, we can find Discipline is"Dao's representation in the society, Emperor's will is the key to"Dao"performing in the society. Actually it reflects that Imaging thought"Dao"is ultimate power of promoting and determining history development as other experts that study a Confucian philosophy of Song and Ming dynasties.Secondly, we noticed Imaging's cognition that he considered history function. He thought classics and history work is the relation of genius and superficies. History is a kind of medium that give publicity to"Dao". He definitely clarified his purpose of writing history book, i.e., his history book was a reference of historical lesson and success and he wanted to find a dominant road in the change of history. So he wanted his history book is useful for dominion class.Thirdly, we noticed Imaging's historical method. Imaging's historical idea was famous for configuration strictness and abundant material. It is no contradiction with his historical spirit that he wanted to reflect"Dao"by his history book. From the opinion of Imaging, if record is not particular, history book can not thoroughly reflect a Confucian philosophy of Song and Ming dynasties. Though many people took part in writing Zizhi Tongjian, Imaging compiled this book finally. This compilation of all the while insists on his political idea and moral ethic principle. Subjective judgment or holding false affair but throwing away history fact exists sometime. In his history book, he said he do not value person or things. But the idea that he want to reflect"Dao"by his history book had already value his record.
