On Agricultural Science And Technology In Shan Xi Anti-Japanese Base Area

The war of anti-Japanese is a special period for the development of agricultural science and technology of Shan Xi revolutionary base which is war and practical.Based on the mass historical data and comparison of development condition of agricultural science and technology in Shan Xi province before and after the war, this study aims to research into the agricultural economic state of Shan Xi under the wartime circumstance and the formation and development of policy of agricultural science and technology. At the same time we make an analysis of achievements of agricultural science and technology of that time and the influences on development of society and economy in order to reveal that developing agricultural science and technology in revolutionary base is a relatively correct and successful policy adopted by our party. This policy has great impact on scientific and technological work of initial stages of our new China and provides us with precious experience and theoretical fortune as well.The study can be divided into three chapters. In Chapter one firstly the author gives a discussion of features of agricultural economy of Shan Xi province which are the result of differences of natural conditions of Shan Xi district and its rough change during the time of the end of Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China; than a discussion of development of agricultural economy of Shan Xi province under the government of Yan Xishan after the revolution of 1911. These achievements are closely related to the improvement and popularization of agricultural technology. And this is one of the elements that promote the modernization process of Shan Xi society. Through the discussion a gradual process of development of traditional agricultural technology will be presented. Chapter two is about the measures the government takes for the recovery of agricultural production and the general status of agricultural economy of Shan Xi under the wartime: the developmental condition of agriculture after the outbreak of the war; comparison of the two in order to make a clear realization of actual benefits and development. Than in this chapter the author presents a detailed condition of agricultural economy of Shan Xi under the wartime. The development of agricultural economy during this time plays important role in history of Shan Xi. Chapter Three emphasizes on the evaluation of development of agricultural economy of Shan Xi province. The chapter makes a detailed analysis of achievements of agricultural science and technology and the deep influences on production and life styles of that time in order to present an interaction relation between agricultural technology and social development.
