Both Xiao Hong and Sun Li have the very prominent status in the Chinese modern local novel history. Although their famous time is different, because of the influence of some factors such as background of the age, values, aesthetic tastes, they showed the similar creative style in the local novel's creation aspect. Namely, it is on the basis of realistic expression, blending with some lyric factors of local novels. This results the large difference with local realistic and local freehand. It is the local novels under another writing attitude. But this kind of artistic style has not formed a strong trend of development, and there are not enough authors to represent it, so it is neglected frequently by the people.Xiao Hong and Sun Li not only insisted the humanitarianism, but also simultaneously absorbed the beauty of artistic conception and beauty of poem style from the china traditional novels. On the one hand, such combination has reflected people's life condition and inherited the fine tradition of "May 4th movement" enlightenment; on the other hand they have enabled the novel to have the very high esthetic value. Xiao Hong and Sun Li's local novels have enriched the local novels world of 30s, 40s, and also have provided another kind of local creation model for the following authors such as Wang Zengqi. Certainly, we should also pay attention to the individual difference.
