Exploring Relationship Between College Students' Self-worth And Possibility Of Professional Success In New Environment

At one time, college students are the symbols of knowledge and outstanding synonymous. With a high sense of self-worth, they are eager to grand plans in society, with high expectations, their performance are very good, many of them have successed with relatively high social status, called on the social elite. Today, junior and senior students already are standing on the social threshold, facing "difficult job", their quality are required higly, and the critic has also increased recently, College students no longer to glory. However, as a large group, they have more knowledge and culture, in social civilization in the process of vacancy. Their development that is worth of deeply concern. Therefore, the paper exploring the relationship between self-worth and the possibility of professional success in new environment aboat college students.With 759 tests, questionnaire of "self-worth Students Scale" and "the new environment in the possibility of career success Scale" aboat Chongqing University, Southwestern University, Chongqing Normal Students. the data is obtained by the SPSS12.0 and analized by in-depth interviews. The study reached the following conclusions:(1)Compared with the norm of college students, college students' total self-worth score is the low slightly, but not significantly different.(2)Different types of school students' self-worth is significantly different, excellent college students are higer than the average one. there are different. Students in the special sense of self-worth, Only art students scores in special society orient of family-selfworth are slightly higer than science students, but not a significant difference. Rest of the science students were higher. In the special individuals orientation of psychological self-worth (P <0.001) and physical self-worth (P <0.001) is significantly. For self-worth dimension scores, senior's were higher than junior's . And the feeling of self-worth, with the overall,the general and the special, their special individual-orient of rnterporsen,self-worth, self -psychology, self-moral, self-physical, their special social-oriented of self-worth aboat self-human, self-psychological, self-moral, self -physiology, the difference are significant (P <0.001). (3)Different schools of students score in intelligence, the possibility of professional success in new environment, has a significantly different. The possibility of professional success in new environment in gender has a significantly different (P <0.05), Girls score in intelligence is higher. Male's in the discipline,excitability is slightly higher. As for the possibility of career success in new environment, intelligence, self-discipline, excitatory points, senior's is higher. The possibility of career success, self-discipline, that difference was significant (P <0.05). About the intelligence, the most significant difference (P <0.001). college students of science in the successful career in new environment scores, is slightly higher. Arts students is higher and has a significant difference in the excitement (P <0.05).(4) Students in the professional success of new environment are likely to be higer than with the possibility of smaller, successful career in a new environment possibility of persistent, self-discipline, intelligence scores higher than the small, and extremely significant difference (P <0.001). Instead, small college students in the excitement is higher, the difference is significant (P <0.001). And the self-worth was significant difference (P <0.05).(5) As a whole, college students self-worth and the possibility of professional success in new environment is a positive correlation(r=.176). Students score aboat feeling of self-worth ,between the total and dimension are correlated, the possibility of career success in new environment are related with factors, and related negative correlation.with the excitement.(6) Sex, excitement, intelligence are predictable to the level of college students self-worth, followed by intelligence, excitement, sex. Excitement is effecion of reverse prediction. Self-worth in the general feeling of self-worth, individual orientation to the special feeling and the general feeling of self-worth, social orientation of the special moral self-worth and physical self-worth are predictable to the possibility of successful career in new environment.
