It turned out that self-esteem of subject children was composed of eight elements, and emigrant-workers' children performed low and need improvement in six elements, which were family relations, social status, organizational capacity, academic performance, physical quality and appearance. In intervention study, an intervention program of 10 sessions (90 minutes respectively) is designed, and 30 subject children joined in it (15 in the experimental group, and 15 in the control group). The group intervention adhered to principles of learning from experience, selective challenge and contract value, and selected tools of self-esteem questionnaires, observational indicators, training feedback, teacher assessment, examination ranking, essays in former - later - tracking stages to assess the effectiveness. The result showed the experimental group, after intervention, improved much better in self-esteem than the control group, and they explicated more behaviors closely related to high self-esteem.Finally, recommendations of improving self-esteem in emigrant-workers' children, optimizing psychological education environment of farmer workers' children schools and improve the effectiveness of group intervention are made in the study.
