The Cohesive Problems In Uyghur Texts

As a emerging branch of linguistics, the text linguistics breaks through the limitation of the pronunciation, the glossary, the sentence structure, and takes the text this language unit as the object of study, as a result the linguistics research also enters a new domain. With what is text, how relation has cohesion and coherence, how cohesion is the Uighur text, how cohesive devices are adopted and what is the role in the textual construction and interpretation and so on, this thesis attempts to utilize text linguistics theories to analyze cohesive problems in the Uygur text, and summarize its rule. The thesis adopts mainly research methods of the combination of the analysis and the description, the combination of the theory principle and the language fact. Due to the restrictions of time, material, such as length of the thesis, we are unable to involve in all contents of the text area in the thesis. In view of the fact that cohesion takes vital role in integrity of a whole text, the thesis chooses the Uygur text as the breakthrough point, analyses cohesive devices in the Uygur text and cohesive function in construction and the interpretation of the Uighur text.This thesis draws up five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction of the thesis, it has outlined the necessity and the significance of text research, the current situation of the scholars at home and abroad on textual cohesion, the language material, research method, the priority and the difficult point on study of this thesis.The second chapter introduces basic concepts. Some basic concepts that are associated with cohesion are carded in this chapter, namely text, discourse, cohesion, coherence, relation of the cohesionthe and coherence.The third chapter summarizes cohesive devices of the Uygur text. we select the partial Uygur novel, the prose, the folk tale and so on as the language materials, unify the example to discuss cohesive devices and its function in the Uygur text construction.The fourth chapter discusses actual utilization of textual cohesion in the Uygur text, we selects a piece of short story in Uygur, analyse concretely cohesive devices of this thesis,. discusses the utilization of cohesive theory in the specific Uygur text, and attempts to analysing the cohesive effect.The fifth chapter is the conclusion, the review and perspective of this thesis is discussed in this chapter. this chapter proposes the limitation and the insufficiency of this thesis, the unresolved issues and the direction of future efforts on the basis of summarizing the whole thesis.In which the third chapter and the fourth chapter is the key point and the difficulty of this thesis.This thesis aims at appling cohesive theoretical to analyse cohesive features of the Uyghur text through the theoretical analysis and the example discussion, confirms the feasibility and the usability of this theory in the Uygur text, fills research blank space of the Uygur text cohesive problems. Since my research level is superficial, the thesis still is simple. I invite respectfully experts to make a criticism and comment on the deficiency of my thesis.
