The Deepening From Humanism To Patriotism

Henan troop's writer Zhou Da-xin is one of the real power factions of today's literary arena. But the present research on Zhou Da-xin's writing mainly concentrates on those written after the mid and late part in the 1980s when the theme of his novels was changed, while the research on his military theme is very few, which only tell the general idea in brief, so we can say that there's not a special study on his military novels systematically. Perhaps it is because the military novels takes his initial writing attempt and they are not mature that the military theme novels, as one important part of his writing, have been forgotten, which is a big regret.This article tries to take the topic experience as a breakthrough point to study the development process, the connotation and the characteristic of Zhou Da-xin's military novels, and discusses the contemporary value and significance of his military novels by the modernity considering of military novels.In the concrete analysis, considering Zhou Da-xin's life experience and his novels, firstly, I think Patriotism and Humanism is the two constitutions of his thought. In his novels, the rigid pursue of love and friendly base on the standpoint of common people shows his thought of Humanism, while for his Patriotism, it develops from eulogy to deep responsibility. Secondly, according to the meaning and relationship between Humanism and patriotism, I divide the development of his novels into three stages. In the first stage, it mainly discusses the theme of his starting stage from three aspects. Firstly, the respect and eulogy to soldiers in war; secondly, the respect and protection to solders in peace; thirdly, the preliminary reconsiderations to the early Patriotism. In the second stage, it mainly analyses Zhou Da-xin's unceasingly thought about the war and the soldier image in order to explain the theme of the military novels in his mature stage. In one hand, the appearance of the war becomes more complicated under the writer's perspective from several aspects, such as soldier, history, culture, humanism and so on; in the other hand, it is the unceasing atrophy of Inherent soldiers' image and the search for a new way of soldiers' growth in his novels that shows the writer's new thought about the soldier image. In the third stage, by the analysis of the historical war novel Legend of the War, it shows that the in-depth human nature perspective to the war and soldiers and the dignity questioning and yearning to happy human nature in the novel are just the distinctively manifests which tell us that Zhou Da-xin is trying his best to surpass himself in order to reach a new boundary of his humanism writing. Finally, considering Zhou Da-xin's modernity thinking on his military novel and analyzing the writer's senses of construction and deconstruction and his open creating orientation, I draw the conclusion that Zhou Da-xin's humanism pursuit of creation in his military novels has its special value and significance in the modernity considering of military novel.
