The purpose of this research is investigating the psychological conditions of the students in independent colleges and analyzing the differences of the students'psychological conditions due to their different types, genders and family economical backgrounds. Then try to collect the reasons why the differences are existed and study the relationship between the reasons and the students'psychological conditions. We choose 246 students as the subjects. Among the subjects, 130 students are from the independent college of Hubei Institute of Fine Arts, 116 students are from the Jiangcheng College of China University of Geosciences. This research will provide basic informations for the psychological educaton in the independent colleges, especially for the independent colleges of Fine Arts. And those informations will be meaningful for the reinforcement of the students'psychological education in independent colleges of Fine Arts.The result shows that: (1) The psychological health level of the independent college students is lower than the common adults. (2) The psychological health level of the independent college students of Fine Arts is lower than the common independent college students'. (3) Among the students of the independent college of Fine Arts, the psychological health level of the students who are from the country is different from the students who are from the city. At the aspects of students'relationship, dumps and consternation, the psychological health level of the students who are from the country is lower than the students who are form the city. (4) Among the students of independent college of Fine Arts, the psychological health level of the male students is higher than the female students.
