This paper discussed the verbal idioms. With the aid of the idiom dictionary and related language resources, this text first screen the verbal idioms by two steps, then analyses and describes the distribution feature of verbal idioms at each grammar position in sentence, and find that Its grammar function is unanimous basically with Verb but still has its special laws, such as: there are modifier limit while serve as the predicate of the sentence; The verb idioms don't have the object frequently etc. This text also carry on a more thorough analysis generally from own structure, semantics and rhythm to explain why verbal idioms do not have the object frequently. Its own structure enables itself sufficiently to have the object; in semantic aspect, its act character is weaker than verb; in rhythm aspect, verb idioms are absolutely heaviest in sentence as its four syllables. Finally this text sketchily enumerates and analysis the pragmatics function of verbal idioms.
