Tone Adverbs "Weimian" And "Bumian" Study

"weimian"and"bumian"are two adverbs with similar meanings. We can tell the similarites and differences of two adverbs or adverbial phrases by comparing them in a certain sentence pattern.Throughout history of the Chinese grammar research,we've got splendid achievement on tone adverbs in the field of grammar,but still,researchs haven't paid much attention to the following two adverbs"weimian"and"bumian",so we are going to make a conclusion of their characteristics and summarize their similarities and differences at the base of the study on tone adverbs.Tone adverbs can help to express tones in sentences. They can bring the speakers'subjective attitudes with sentences.Over the last few years,the evaluating theroy in Systerm Function Linguistics has been paying much attention to the subjective attitudes in sentences.We'll introduce something about the evaluating theroy in this article, taking"weimian"and"bumian"for example, to analyse how to express speakers'subjective attitudes with them and to summarize their similarities and differences. The article can be divided into 6 parts:Chapterâ… In this part, we all mainly introduce the meaning of the topic, the studuing situation about tone adverbs in our country, the studying theory and method, and the resources of the language materials.Chapterâ…¡By analyzing some language materials, we'll find they can only exist in sentences. Meanwhile, by analyzing the sections following them, we'll summarize their similarities and differences in syntax.Chapterâ…¢In this chapter, we'll summarize their similarities and differences by learning their semantic meaning environment and the tone meanings they express in the environment. The evaluating theroy in Systerm Function Linguistics is clarified in three aspects, by caring about the subjective attitudes in sentences from Attitude category, Involvement category and Classification category, with Attirud category focusing more on something semantic meaning.
