Development Of Spondee Lists Of Shanxi Dialect Speech Test Materials

Objectives To edit the spondee word lists as basic speech materials for roution tests in Shanxi dialect speakers.Methods According to the sector method of Shanxi dialect, we divided Shanxi province into seven parts:Bingzhou district,Lüliang district,Shangdang district,Wutai district,Yunzhong district,Guangling district,Fenhe district and we chose one city in every part:Taiyuan, Lishi,Changzhi,Xinzhou,Datong,Guangling and Yuncheng.In accordance with local records ,we chose the spondee that not-mandarin,and according to spondaic word lists in Chinese audiometry vocabulary and minimal auditory capabilities in Chinese, MACC,and then we created spondee lists.First,we let 30 people judge whether the spondee commonly used and written this way in the locality.Then we calculated the coincidence.Secondlly,we recorded sound in advance and then we let 50 people repeat. Then we recorded the thruput of every spondee.Finally,we calculated the proportion of each syllable in every spondaic word list according to the principle of phonemically balance,and then we elected spondee as the final results.Results Seven spondaic word lists were created,each with50 words:10 spondee that were not-mandarin and 40 spondee that were mandarin. All speech audiometry materials were characterized by phonetic balance,commmon use and easy understanding, and all of the pass rates in a single word test were above 90%.Conclusions The spondee lists edited in present study can be used in Shanxi people who speak Shanxi dialect.
