Study On Humanism Care Of Toys Design For Chinese Old People

The aging population is the major character during the development ofpeople in 21 century. It is getting to be the main issue in modern society ofChina that the rapid aging of people's structure and the life quality in theirlate years. Great attention to the issue of product for the old people havebeen paid in design fields for many years, but the majority of designs arefocused on the facilities of nursing and medical. There are not manyproducts showing to the healthy old people who occupy the major part forthe aging population. They need the toys which can satisfy the demand ofentertainment and own colorful life.This essay based on that background, through proposing problems,analyzing it and solving it, mixes the qualitative and the quantitativeinvestigation, and embody humanism care in toys design of Chinese oldman.The thesis contains following three parts.Firstly, the existing circumstance and problem about the toys isanalyzed, and the motive factor, Man-Machine Engineering factor, estheticsfactor, Culture and life style factor is proposed to embody humanism careon toys design. Secondly, through the process of user centered design, theaimed users'element character and demands is studied by the means ofquestionnaire, observing, Interviewing and Scene preview of new product,the principles of toys design is summarized.The third part, the design model are constructed, on which some relative case is used for verifyingthe theory achievements.This research's theory achievement obtained the design principles andthe demands of toys for old people. The main design achievements are theinnovative design practice of senior people's toys.
