Internet Ethic And Its Philosophical Reflection

The widespread application of the Internet in society caused many changes in the social structure, living mode, and thinking pattern in many aspects, which also accelerates the Internet advancement. This communication mode characterized by Internet initiates profound transformation in the way by which people communicate.The development of the computer science and Internet technology is gradually changing the people's living style. On the one hand, this communication mode brought the huge convenience for people's contact; on the other, it led to a series of ethical problems. Facing the current situation, this paper starts the research from Internet ethical problems, summarizing the phenomena, checking the impact brought about by the Internet, aiming at analyzing the essence of the Internet ethic from the layer of technological and philosophical point of view, to explore and get the basic cause as well as the methods and measures of the problem-solving.The Internet ethic involves many aspects of the traditional ethics, so the paper is too limited to illuminate all the problems in detail. Computer crime, Internet hacker, computer virus, software pirating, infringement on the right of privacy are focused on in this paper. Many factors affect the Internet ethic, and in chapter three, the technological causes, carrier causes, main body cause are clearly elaborated on. In chapter four, the methods and measures of solving the problems are mentioned including technological control, user control, management control and law control.The core of the ethic is the problem of human being. From the perspective of philosophy, the Internet is neutral as a social communication tool, which is neither benign nor malignant. From certain point, Internet ethic is the reflection of the traditional ethic in Internet environment. In the end, the paper tries to thoroughly speculate on the problem wishing to get the philosophical explanation. The goal is to contain the action competency given by the Internet within the boundary of permission of morality in order to make convenient and secure use of the Internet.
